For the first time in many years, I will not walk the streets with my children this halloween. My youngest is almost 13 and decided last minute, that trick-or-treating just is not for him anymore... He went out in style last year dressed up as Mr. Bean. A brilliant costume, but unfortunately a bit too sophisticated for the audience, many were unaware of the British comedy character so popular in our house. So this year we are instead happily decorating our yard with creepy creatures and gleeful pumpkins, and we are planning to hand out scary goodies to hordes of other young trick-or-treaters. I did not intend to be away from the blog for almost two weeks. My sincere apologies. The schedule is looking better now, and I have much to share, so posts will be more frequent in the next few weeks.
He went as Mr. Bean? That is such a GREAT idea, brilliant actually! I used to nanny for a little boy who, honest to god, looked and acted like Mr. Bean. I couldn't look at him without wondering if he was going to do something absolutely ridiculous!

children grow up so quickly. i remembered my niece is still a little baby and now she is 6.

ReplyDeleteGlad you are back! I have a 5 and 2 yr old, so we were on the streets. Last year my then 4yr old was a slug...also lost with many many folks. Can't wait to see the whole item pic of the little frame purses on the post below.

One year my whole family (husband, sister, father and mother) dressed up as little old ladies and went to Castro Street in San Francisco. My husband was the funniest and ugliest old lady I've ever met with his BIG glasses and fluffy black wig.
